Post it notes

I use post it notes all over the kitchen. Little things like "stop...think...is this snack worth it" or I put them on the shelf with the junk food for the kids saying "you won't burn this off as fast as the kids"

Pillow Cases Organize Sheet Sets!

After doing laundry I fold and place all the pieces of a sheet set (fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillowcases) inside one pillowcase and put it in the linen closet. Then when I need to make the bed I don't have to dig around for a matching set!

Pictures of Fat...

When I'm tempted to go outside my calorie range or eat more than I should, I google or look at a picture of what 5 lbs of fat looks like...IT IS GROSS!!!!! That is ususally all the motivation I need not to eat something...and sometimes it even gets me moving to exercise if I'm feeling lazy

How to stop overeating when hungry

We all do it! Get busy and forget to eat before the hunger pains start up. Before eating that big meal eat a low calorie salad or soup to help curb those hunger pains and you eat less of the big meal. emoticon

Take a tip from a pro!

I remember looking through all the tools when I started SP and thinking it was kind of overwhelming. I dabbled here and there but I thought to myself "I could never do THAT". And yet over and over again the success stories had common themes. They logged their food. They exercised regularly. They walked or OMG they raced! They cut back on unhealthy foods. They drank more water. The more I read the more the impossilbe didn't seem so improbable. So I started very slowly doing like the pros

Log Food Before You Eat It

If you're a person who tends to eat now and cringe over the calories later (i'm guilty), then a really handy tip is to log your food into the calorie tracker before you eat it! It can give you a serious reality check when you're feeling tempted, or you try to trick yourself into thinking that something has less calories than it really does. Good Luck!

Be completely HONEST

Be honest with yourself about what you eat. The only person you are hurting by not be honest as well as accurate, is yourself. You may go over your calories for that day, but at least you'll know where the problem was, what it was, and you'll be better prepared for the next time. Don't hinder your own success because of inaccuracy.
