Yeah, it doesn't sound that appealing. But really, if you ever want to figure out something quick, cheap, and healthy to cook, look to the peasants of the world. Whether it's a hearty french vegetable stew, or a lentil curry from the far east, or even just some rice with stir-fried vegetables...
A 250ml glass of water and a bowl of lentils is fantastic; the fiber and hydration are an effective, natural short-cut to putting your mind off of any temptations. Cook 'em up en masse, and store them in the fridge. Some salt, garlic, oregano and chopped tomatos is perfection in a bowl!
