Tuna Wraps

I wrap my tuna salad (I substitute a fat free salad dressing to step up taste instead of a light mayo) inside of large Iceberg lettuce leaves instead of a pita or wrap bread.....delicious and way less calories!

Strength Training vs. Cardio -----the first month

Strength training raises your metabolism HIGHER so you burn calories LONGER. Cardio helps you burn calories FASTER but for shorter spurts. If you want to see results but can't stay in your caloric range for 1st month,this may help.

Frugal Fitness

I went through my list of exercises, yesterday. I don't have any dumb bells nor any kind of home gym and I can't afford a gym membership. My resistance band snapped under the pressure! LOL What I can afford is WATER! 1L weighs 1 Kg or 2.2 lbs so a 500 mL bottle weighs 1.1 lbs and a 1.5 L water bottle weighs 3.3 lbs!

I exercised my entire upper body using exercises here and in my fitness guide using my water bottles for weights! I'd say I'm no dumb bell, but I can hear the moaning already!

Start to save money today

Kill your debit today.
Set your saving goals.
Establish a time frame.
Figure out how much youíll have to spend per week, per month to reach saving goal.
Bay clothes and present in sale.
Ask your self do I really need this

Anybody can do anything for 10 minutes

When your cycling up that hill or finishing up on the treadmill and it starts to hurt use your mantra. I tell myself, anyone can do anything for (x number) minutes. It really helps me keep going when I might otherwise quit!

Forget the Thermostat

Instead of touching the thermostat when I get cold, I get up and do a little exercise. Just 5 or 10 minutes of walking in place or chair exercises warm me right up and I stay warm for awhile. It's a good way to save electric AND get some exercise in.

Fit in Fitness

Do it first thing in the morning even if it means getting up earlier than you would like. Very little intrudes on exercise time before 5 or 6 am but lots can happen as the day progresses.

Get off the couch

Instead of sitting on the couch to watch TV at night, sit on the floor and "play" with your dogs. Strength out to reach them. Do sit ups with them on your chest. They love that you are interacting and you get a great workout! :)

TAKE ACTION EARLY

When it comes to exercise it is easier if it is done first thing in the morning. It gets the serotonin (feel good hormone) going, which makes for a good start to the day. Then you won't have to worry about it after work. It is already taken care of.
