When your cycling up that hill or finishing up on the treadmill and it starts to hurt use your mantra. I tell myself, anyone can do anything for (x number) minutes. It really helps me keep going when I might otherwise quit!
Instead of touching the thermostat when I get cold, I get up and do a little exercise. Just 5 or 10 minutes of walking in place or chair exercises warm me right up and I stay warm for awhile. It's a good way to save electric AND get some exercise in.
Do it first thing in the morning even if it means getting up earlier than you would like. Very little intrudes on exercise time before 5 or 6 am but lots can happen as the day progresses.
You have to believe you can do it. It is the core of any decision to loose weight and get in shape. Believe in yourself.
Instead of sitting on the couch to watch TV at night, sit on the floor and "play" with your dogs. Strength out to reach them. Do sit ups with them on your chest. They love that you are interacting and you get a great workout! :)
When it comes to exercise it is easier if it is done first thing in the morning. It gets the serotonin (feel good hormone) going, which makes for a good start to the day. Then you won't have to worry about it after work. It is already taken care of.
