When I have an off day and don't feel like going to the gym, I still make myself drive by. Somehow I always end up pulling into the parking lot and thinking "Well, since I'm already here, I might as well go inside". I feel like I'm tricking myself into getting there, but it works! It's easy to stay at home on the couch, but once you're in the gym's parking lot then the couch isn't quite as tempting.
Every day I wake up and remind myself that today is a brand new day. Yesterday's mistake don't carry over and I start each morning mistake-free. If I ate badly yesterday or if I skipped the gym, it doesn't make today a failure. It just gives me more motivation to make today better than yesterday.
