I try to get my exercise in the morning before all of my crazy kids wake up and the house is peaceful. I find that if I sleep in my workout clothes then I'm less likely to shrug it off and hit the snooze. Morning workouts help me feel energized for the day and motivates me to stay on track all day.
i have a pedometer and I try to get 10,000 steps or more a day. I put it on in the morning and wear it all day. If at first you can't do 10,000 a day start with what you can and work up to it. All that matters is that you get moving.
Stress (mental &/or physical) does interfere with weight & health goals.
I do several things to keep on moving throughout the day - I always walk to a co-workers desk to talk to them, about every 30-60 minutes I make sure I get up and move by taking a walk around the office floor then going up the stairs to the next floor-walking to the other side-take the stairs down and back to my desk, at lunch I always fit in walking outside regardless of the weather for a minimum of 20 minutes, and I power walk to the train station which is about .87 miles from my office.
Many studies have proven that strength training decreases a hunger hormone (ghrelin), and cardio decreases ghrelin AND increases a hormone that makes people feel full (peptide YY).
