My husband and I have an at home movie date night once a week. Even after getting rid of unhealthy food I was having a heck of a time with stuffing my face.
To boost my fruit and vegetable servings I 'double up' during meals. If a half cup of peas is a serving, I'll take a whole cup. I also make my meats & pastas the smaller 'sides' to the dish. You have a much healthier and balanced meal that way.
One of my nonfitness goals is to floss. I found that this also helps to curb my snacking. I'm less likely to eat out of boredom and think about what and when I'm eating when my teeth are clean. It may seem a little weird but I'll take it!
