Save elbow grease

Is baked on grime part of the lunch leftovers? Place a dryer sheet in pots and pans, fill with water, leave to soak overnight and simply sponge off the next morning. The antistatic agent on the sheet works to weaken the bond between stuck-on food and pan surfaces. emoticon

Easy way to clean your oven- friendly to the environment too!

Don't want to spend a lot of time on oven cleaning? Place about 1 cup of cloudy ammonia in a aluminum pie pan and place it in the oven overnight. In the morning, simply remove the pan and wipe the oven clean with a damp sponge. If you do this often ( about once a month ) you won't have to spend money on harmful chemicals.

Washing shower curtains

Toss a few old bath towels in the washing machine when you wash your shower curtains. The towels will rub back and forth against the curtain, which helps remove all traces of dirt and scum. Hang shower curtains back up right out of the washing machine. They will dry quickly and the wrinkles will fall right out.

Cleaning shower heads and softening washing with vinegar

To clean shower heads that have been clogged with mineral deposits, place half a cup of vinegar in a plastic food storage bag and secure the bag to the shower head with a rubber band.
Let it stand for two hours then rinse and buff he mixture to a shiny finish.
One cup of undiluted white vinegar added to the laundry rinse cycle instead of commercial fabric softener will soften clothes, cut detergent residue and is a plus for family members with sensitive skin.

Peeling bananas.

Peel a banana from the bottom and you won't have to pick the little 'stringy things' off the banana. tha's how the primates do it. Take your bananas apart when you get home from the store. If you leave them connected at the stem, they ripen faster.

A cheaper way to shave your legs by using hair conditioner...

Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's cheaper than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried it in your hair.
