Spark BEFORE Eating

When I get the urge to eat and regular mealtime is not really that far off, that is when I am really thankful for Spark. I go to my computer and widdle the time away reading articles, playing the games, earning points, etc. etc. Before I know it , it is time for dinner .

Stopping Before it is Too Late

Keep tracking even if you think you are going over our limit. You might be surprised that it is not as bad as you feared. It just might keep you from going even further overboard.

clutter

I have had success in reducing clutter this way. When I walk into a room and see something that does not belong there, or that is out of place I take care of it right then. It is easier for me than letting things pile up and then having to spend much more time returning items to their rightful places.

weighing in

i weigh myself every day. I have a set range and when I get to the top of that range I get back to counting, measuring, recording, eating the right thing very very strictly.

That is what works for me and gets me back on track and so far has for several years now.

spark appointment calendar

I sue it nearly everyday, and not just to earn the one point. Sometimes I add 3 or 4 things. It really helps me to remember things I need to do. I use it for housekeeping tasks that need to be done on odd times, meetings, when certain banking tasks need to be done, etc. etc.

smaller utensil

Most of us have been told to try eating on a smaller plate to control portion size.
I like to eat my Skinn Cow ice cream cup, or ww, or yogurt, etc. with a "baby spoon". That way I really can savor every bite and not just gulp it down with a teaspoon.

check those labels

read your food labels

even after being a "career" ww or sparker, memory can fail us

from time to time re-check those labels for calories, etc. and serving size emoticon

putting fitted sheets on the bed

I have a safety pin on the bottom of the part that goes at the top left of the bed, since I sometimes have trouble figuring out which goes where. I hate it when I get one corner on, only to discover it is the long side, not the shorter.

I do the same thing with a blanket I keep on the bed. I

posting on spark

I am finding that when I post my immediate goals, be they ever so baby steplike, on a spark board, and even if I get not actual response IT HELPS me to achieve that goal.

I guess it is similar to spark's suggestion that we write out our goals in a journal.
