When I get the urge to eat and regular mealtime is not really that far off, that is when I am really thankful for Spark. I go to my computer and widdle the time away reading articles, playing the games, earning points, etc. etc. Before I know it , it is time for dinner .
Keep tracking even if you think you are going over our limit. You might be surprised that it is not as bad as you feared. It just might keep you from going even further overboard.

i weigh myself every day. I have a set range and when I get to the top of that range I get back to counting, measuring, recording, eating the right thing very very strictly.
That is what works for me and gets me back on track and so far has for several years now.
I sue it nearly everyday, and not just to earn the one point. Sometimes I add 3 or 4 things. It really helps me to remember things I need to do. I use it for housekeeping tasks that need to be done on odd times, meetings, when certain banking tasks need to be done, etc. etc.
Most of us have been told to try eating on a smaller plate to control portion size.
I like to eat my Skinn Cow ice cream cup, or ww, or yogurt, etc. with a "baby spoon". That way I really can savor every bite and not just gulp it down with a teaspoon.
read your food labels
even after being a "career" ww or sparker, memory can fail us
from time to time re-check those labels for calories, etc. and serving size
I have a safety pin on the bottom of the part that goes at the top left of the bed, since I sometimes have trouble figuring out which goes where. I hate it when I get one corner on, only to discover it is the long side, not the shorter.

I am finding that when I post my immediate goals, be they ever so baby steplike, on a spark board, and even if I get not actual response IT HELPS me to achieve that goal.
I guess it is similar to spark's suggestion that we write out our goals in a journal.
