I am 66 and there was a time when I thought that a gym membership was a luxury but I now see the benefits. I joined a gym this spring and even hired a personal trainer to get me started. I love every minute. I no longer use a trainer but he taught me stuff that I would not have learned on my own and motivated me to believe in myself. I thought that because of my age I would not be able to master certain physical activities, but I proved myself wrong.
Pay attention to what your body is saying at all times!! If you learn how your body works then everything is easier!! Pay attention to when your stomach is saying your not really hungry!! You also need to listen to your body about how far to push yourself!!
