I have found that when I order a full meal off the menu in a restaurant, I eat far more calories than I had planned on, and on things that I don't even care much about. I have been much more successful eating out and staying on track when I only order the specific items I want. If what I want doesn't come without sides, I will ask them to leave the side off altogether or replace it with vegetables. It doesn't always save money, but my health is worth more than an extra dollar on the tab.
Get dressed, pick up a clipboard, go out to the curb of house or if in apt, the front door, ring the bell & go in. Pretend you are a realtor. Your job as a realtor is to go room by room, one wall, floor, & ceiling at a time, & write down everything that needs attention to get the home sold or rented. Include not only cleaning, but handy man & fix-it projects. Now write down all small fix-it projects individually on piecesof paper, folded up, & put them in a bowl, canister, box, etc. (cont'd)
Never say, "I will TRY to lose weight" or "I will TRY to be on time." Say instead, "I WILL lose weight" or "I WILL be on time." Using the word TRY lets you off the hook too easily.
When it comes to exercise it is easier if it is done first thing in the morning. It gets the serotonin (feel good hormone) going, which makes for a good start to the day. Then you won't have to worry about it after work. It is already taken care of.
Get your exercise in during every day living, no excuses, no gym needed. Do the hustle!! RUSH to everything you do. RUN to the biffy like you are afraid you won't make it!! Make several trips up and down the stairs fast to carry small loads of laundry each time instead of a big one. When tracking food, weigh one item, the rush to your computer to record it, then rush back to record another one, take many trips.. Don't walk when you can run!! Take the LONG way around!!

When trying to maintain a healthy eating regimen,I find that it helps to use smaller plates. You can't fit as much food on a smaller plate so you eat less. Just make sure that you don't try and overfill a smaller plate. The goal is to make your mind believe you're eating the same amount
