Figure out about how many calories you need to eat per day in order to lose weight then multiply that by 7. For example: 1300 X 7= 9100. Then zig zag the calories from day allowing yourself to eat more some days and less others. Your body won't know you're dieting if you eat 2,000 calories one day and 1,000 the next. Eating the same amount of calories daily causes plateaus, is stressful & boring. Learn to enjoy food and also be responsible to yourself.
I eat them as my main fruit in the cold season, they are low in carbs and low on the glycemic index. Blueberries make the perfect between meal snack and have been shown to have an anti aging effect on the brain. Stock up on them at Target; i recently saw a big bag for $11.
Do interval cardio at most 3 days a week for no longer than 30-40 minutes. Walk several hours a week & also lift weights. Daily exercise should NOT be counted on for weight management but should be used as health & emotional mangement. Be aware that excess exercise can cause you to overeat and not reach your weight loss goals!
One that forces you to COUNT something: carbs, protein, calories-- something. A lot of people do well on Weight Watchers because it involves counting. The diet that helped me get healthy is the Zone; it helped me learn to count protein/carb grams and to understand the importance of eating enough protein and limiting harmful carbohydrates like rice, bread, etc. Stuck with it for about a decade!!
