I fill up on fruits and veggies. If I want something sweet I eat fruit. If I'm starving I eat veggies which are filling. If I eat a salad I dip my fork in the salad dressing instead of pouring all those extra calories on the salad. I weigh and measure everything. this helps me to keep a check on portion control.
when I can't seem to get food off my mind i pick up the phone and call a loved one and talk about anything and everything. Istay out of the kitchen area and the food thoughts disappear plus I am able to catch up with all thats going on in the other persons life.
