Popcorn is a Healthy Snacking Food!

Surprised? Popcorn is good for you as long as you don't cover it with loads of butter. Not to mention that 3 cups of popcorn=1 serving of grain (surprised?)! Instead of butter, try adding popcorn seasoning that you can find in your local grocery store.

No Fat Free

Fat Free Foods are not as healthy as you think. To make up for the lack of fat, they add in loads of sugar. Studies show that pure sugar is most likely worse for you than fat.

NO DIETS

My dietitian once told me that 98% of diets don't work. Either you can't lose al the weight, or you gain it all back. Instead, focus on eating healthy and excercising.

Need a Pop Alternative?

If you struggled with sugar drinks try this alternative: Yoplait Yogurt Berry Smoothie Mix (any grocery store in frozen fruit isle!). Subsitute the milk for orange juice(or apple juice) and drink it. The sweetness is like candy, but it is nothing more than fruit. Great alternative for sugary drinks.

Eat meat?

If you eat a lot meat, there is a good way to save money on it. Buy an entire pig or cow. It does cost an extreme amount of money to buy, but it lasts about a year and in the end you actually save a large amount of money because you don't need to buy meat for that entire year.

Sugar, Salt, and Fat is good in moderation

Don't create "forbidden foods" in your family. It will cause low self-esteem because nobody can cut sweets and salts out of their diet completely. One dessert a day, and one or two serving of salty foods a day is perfectly healthy.

Fat is also needed in your diet, so dont cut back on it too much. Your organs need fat, as well as your body, your hair, and your skin.

Wii Fit Plus truly is amazing

Wii Fit Plus is a great way to keep exercising when you haven't been able to stay consistent. I couldn't stay consistent with exercising for several years until I found Wii Fit. It is fun and active, and you can change up your routine every day. They even have minature programs for your targetted goals (ex: toned arms, being leaner, belly fat, etc). I find it great . I have been exercising everyday now, and I can notice how much stronger I'm becoming. emoticon
