Listen to a GOOD Book!

I love to read and I have combined reading a good book with staying active. In order to get motivated to walk or exercise, I listen to books on my I Touch. I have listened to two books this month (60 hours each)! I can't wait to finish the third book. Music after teaching second graders is not a good idea, so listening to books is worth every second! emoticon

STRONGER

I am getting stronger every day, so I keep pushing. Today I bowled and not that good but we won 1. Always try your best that you can do and it was good that I just made it there to bowl. Anything after was a plus. Every day is a challenge whether healthy or not because we never know what we will face. We just have to be ready for it and willing to take on the challenge. Smile.

Saving Money for Something Special

Every time I get a $5 bill back as change, I put it in a jar. It's amazing how fast you have a fund built up for something special or to just have more cash when needed.

Plateau

I seem to move & hit a plateau. Move & hit a plateau. Today I had a diet Sprite with vanilla in it. It was SOOO good. I have missed it. I hope this mixes it up & my numbers start to move again. We will see.

walking

I know this is not new but it works for me.
every day I get up 30 min earlier then normal so that I can walk it is often dark still so I take one of my dogs this is fun because one dog likes to get the rabbits and the other wants the deer and elk yes you got it I live in the country I live it this way bothe my animals and I get some exercise and if the walk goes fast enough I get the other dog and do it again
