If your default is to eat comfort food to relax (especially at night!), change your default - switch to blogging, drinking herbal tea, working out or anything healthy..and make this your new default.
Take that dancing class, sign up for a hike, paint that picture -- do that thing that you always wanted to do for yourself but always put off. You'll feel really good and that will rub off and make you want to do other things that are healthy and good for you.
If you're really down, pick something you can do to give to someone else. Comment on someone's first blog, call a friend, go volunteer. It helps to get out of yourself and reach out!
I've substituted my morning cereal with fiber one cereal - it packs a high fiber punch and also is very filling first thing in the morning. Add in a few blueberries or strawberries and you have a perfectly healthy breakfast!
I love eating watermelon as a snack or if I have night time munchies - it is very filling and healthy and feels great in summer!
Don't beat up on yourself. Eat breakfast, go about your day then eat your normal meals and snacks..it was just one bad day!! And you don't need to diet like crazy to make it go away. Feel good about today, let yesterday go and move on . You're worth it!
