Forgive yourself.

We forgive those around us all the time..sometimes for some pretty awful stuff. How come we can't forgive ourselves for that candy bar we ate? why does it send us over the edge and we give up on our promise to get healthy?
Forgive yourself brsuh yourself off and let it go...it will take practice but once you learn to forgive yourself the candy bar loses it's power to derail everything and you will stay on track easier and when you fall off getting back on is no sweat.

No Judging Allowed!

We don' allow our kids to judge others, we find it rude when other people judge others and hurtful if we ourselves are judged..So stop doing it to yourself !

Sub Sanwiches the healthy way

When you go into sandwich shop order a veggie with only one slice of cheese double all the veggies and skip the mayo. This gives up to 2 servings of your veggies,reduces the fat,sodium and calories(unless you add avocado but that's good fat and calories). Get it all piled on a small roll and not only will you be full but you have cut out in some cases several hundred calories and loads of salt and fat. I have also found it saves you a few bucks because in most shops a veg is cheaper.

Get a dog

I know it sounds crazy but it has helped me so much. When I wake in the morning my dog "Raven" is ready to go she makes me smile and I can't wait to get our routine started.I found a great warm up is to toss the ball for her and where ever she drops it i jog to that spot and toss it again. I get a great warm up a huge smile and I am ready to jump into my work out.

Getting started

When you first start working out go slow and really listen to your body. Take at least two weeks before increasing your level of activity. This will allow your body to adjust slowly to your new routine and reduce soreness. This will help keep you motivated and set the right atmosphere for making exercise a habit. Remember it take about 6 weeks for a new routine to start becoming a habit.

Keep an eye on it!

I took one of the tags from my biggest jeans and stuck it on the fridge and as my size has gone down I now post the new smaller size tags next to the old ones. Keeps me motivated and I can't wait to post the next one. I also keep a pic of me at 332 on the fridge. emoticon

I keep a picture of myself when I weighed 300lbs on the fridge it reminds me of how far I have come and how going back isnt an option.I have also kept a food log for 2 years it keeps me accountable.
