We all know we're suppose to wash fruit and veggies before we eat them. If you wash them before you even put them away then it cuts out a step later on when you're hungry. Wash out your crisper drawers, get all your fruits and veggies clean, and put a sign on the drawers that says "Clean and Ready to Eat!"
When having a treat such as ice cream or frozen yogurt use a baby spoon to eat it with. You'll have to move the spoon to your mouth more often making you more aware of how much you're consuming. It also lets you savor small bites instead of shoveling it into your mouth.
Pick up a copy of Clean Eating, Cooking Light, or any others that catch your eye. Make a meal plan from them. Some even have a weekly grocery list for you, and the nutrition information as well. If it got my 5 year old to eat kale, and say it was delicious, it can't be wrong!
Use your blog to keep yourself accountable for everything. When you stumble, write about it. When you have a success, write about it. Being able to look back at your setbacks, successes, and encouragement from others will be invaluable.
