Eat them veggies!

I chop up (very fine) all of my veggie servings in the morning and put them in the fridge in a container. When I make my meals I grab some of those veggies and throw it into almost everything (egg, soups, sandwiches, on top of a baked potato, etc). You eat those veggies without even realizing it!

Save Money, Work Out, Go Green and Lose Weight!

I don't own a car and I live in Guatemala, I have to take the bus everywhere I go (or a taxi). I love glass money jars that you cannot get into. I put my bus/taxi money into my 'long term goal' jar every time I walk instead of taking the bus. There are days I may walk 5+ miles!

Gain for Losing (and lose for gaining)

Keep a jar with a certain amount of money (i.e. 10 bucks for every pound you want to lose this month), when you lose a pound, put $10 (or the amount you chose) into a glass money jar. If you don't meet your goal by the end of the month, donate the money left over to charity/give it to your spouse!

Get Your Kids to Eat Their Veggies!

My 3 year old hates veggies... If your child loves eggs like mine does give him/her egg whites with veggies chopped very thin into it and hide it with a little tomatoe sauce or ketchup on top. You can mix veggies into almost anything and cover-up the colors with sauces or a little cheese!

Stop Over-Eating!

I'm an overeater, here is how I quit:

Give yourself a serving size of your meal and eat slowly, when you've finished, go and brush your teeth. Not only does the toothpaste make food taste terrible, but it also lets your mouth know you're done eating for awhile! It has helped me!
