Be careful when using pan sprays. One serving is only a 1/3 second or 1/4 second spray. Longer sprays = more than one serving, and thus more fat grams (which means more calories!) Try just using a heart healthy oil like olive oil or canola, instead. Aim for 2 tsp a day total. You might be surprised that eating a healthy amount of healthy fat actually can HELP your weight loss efforts.
Most salad dressings can be thinned out with a little water without sacrificing taste, especially ranch-type dressings. Adding a little water (especially when you are dining out and have your dressing "on the side") can make the dressing coat the salad more evenly and reduce the amount of actual dressing (and thus calories) you are eating.
