Grilling Veggies

Use a cooling rack placed crosswise on your grill to keep vegetables in place and not falling through. Spray it with nonstick cooking spray to make it an easy job.

No fancy gear needed, nothing extra to store in the off-season.

1/8 Cup = 2 Tbsp

Did you know that 1/8 cup equals 2 Tablespoons? Many Coffee Measures are the same amount. Check yours, and see if you can turn it into a multi-purpose tool!

Special Treat Portion Control ~ Binge Reduction

I keep special treats away from the main food storage ~ a bag of Dove Chocolates in a dresser drawer. This way I have to make a conscious decision to have a treat. Mindless gobbling is NOT an option! I also make sure I track when I have one, usually 2-3 times a week.

Yummy Water

When I carry a metal water bottle, I'll frequently add a bit of citrus zest or a shave of ginger root. Sparks up the water and makes it SO refreshing ~ with no added calories!

Remembering to Stretch

I have a hard time remembering to stretch after I exercise. To help, I printed the SparkPeople Stretching Guide, then placed it in a sheet protector and hung it on the wall where I keep my weights, bands & other gear.
Helps me finish my exercise session well, so I'm ready for the rest of the day!
