Out of pot scrubbers? Wad up a sheet of aluminum foil to scrub that pan or pot...works great in a pinch! Also good to use for cleaning the grill, too!
This summer, always park your car in the car port, garage, or other place that blocks the sun. It doesn't get as hot, and it doesn't take near as long to cool when you turn on the air conditioner! I hate having to get into a car that feels like an oven!
When I'm baking, I turn the oven off 10 minutes or so before the end of the baking time. The food continues to bake, and I save electricity and money!
I bake hamburger patties, and also bacon! I don't have to stand over the stove flipping the food, and since I line the pan with aluminum foil, clean up is a breeze!
Spray a problem area with cleaner, then leave it for a few minutes. When you come back, its much easier to clean. Less elbow grease needed!
When I buy canned fruit or vegetables, I take a permanent marker and put the date bought on the lid. Even with an expiration date, I still use this system to let me know just how long that particular item has been in my pantry.
These are a good alternative to plain bread for sandwiches. They come in Wheat, Multi-Grain, etc., and are only 100 calories per roll.
I usually tear (or cut with scissors) my dryer sheets in half...I get double the use out of one box, and look at all the money I save!
