Tastes like Samoas!

I just discovered Kellogg's Fiber Plus bars with coconut, chocolate and caramel. I love Girl Scout Samoas but they're aren't exactly healthy. I used to put them in the fridge because to me they tasted heavenly that way. Now I put the fiber bars in the fridge and they taste very much like the Samoas only healthier and with more fiber. Woot!

Sweet smelling sink

Since clementine season is still here, I take the peels and crush them up in the garbage disposal. They are thin and don't clog up the system and the sink smells fresh afterwards!

YOGA!

The only bad thing I can say about yoga is that I didn't discover it until I was in my 50s. I have only been doing it for about 3 months now and the difference in my whole outlook, fitness level, sleep level and stress level is nothing short of miraculous. I am more aware of my body at rest, my breathing and my overall well-being. This gives me energy to help others, be the best me I can be and look forward to each new day as the gift from God that it is. Go YOGA!

Digital Scale

My go-to tool in the kitchen is my digital scale. It was a gift from my daughter and it has been my consistent companion when trying to handle portion control. No more guesswork or estimating. It's small enough to stay on my limited counter space and the peace of mind I get from knowing exactly how much of something I am eating is well worth it!

Crush the ANTs!

ANTs (Automatic Negative Thoughts) occur to most of us at least sometime during each day. They are a product of our environment, our self-esteem, our relationships with others and a host of other factors. They don't have to rule our lives. Just like ants can ruin a picnic, ANTs can ruin a good day, a good mood, a good experience. Don't let them! Crush the ANTs with positive thoughts, exercise, conversation with a good friend, prayer, or just a command to leave you alone! You can do it!

Take a Poll!

I like using the poll feature of SP. There are seven different categories, so I take a different category each day and answer a poll question. They are interesting and some are funny and some are serious but it keeps SP in the forefront of my day, which is a good thing!

Purex 3-in-1: Amazing!

Purex has made a product that is laundry detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheet all in one. Drop one in the washer and the detergent is released, put it in the dryer and the clothes come out soft and static-free. No more remembering to add fabric softener and the cost is comparable to buying detergent, fabric softener and dryer sheets. Less carbon footprint since you can buy refills as well. Love them!

Less IS more!

Over the past several years I have been slowly reducing the amount of 'things' in my house. I found they were taking over my life between managing them, dusting them, cleaning around them, etc. I began looking at each 'thing' and asked myself two questions: "Does this have true sentimental value to me?" and "Have I used it in the past year?" If the answer to these was No, then I either sold it or donated it to charity. It's very freeing not to have so many 'things' around. Try it!
