It is as important to be positive with yourself as it is to be a positive influence on others. Be careful to monitor the things you say to yourself and be as kind as you would to others.
I find that the best way for me to stay focused and to help myself is to talk to other SP members. By thinking about their issues and reading their ideas, I build up my own resolve and my own toolbox of ways to help myself. It's a win-win situation.
It doesn't matter if I mess up one day by not getting my correct activity in or if I eat something that is laden with calories, I can get right back with my plan. A slip-up doesn't mean that I have "blown it" and I can learn something from whatever did/ didn't happen.
