Buy a Chicken

I love the whole roasted chickens that are commonplace at most grocery stores now. They're usually fairly cheap ($5 for a whole chicken!) and come roasted! I keep it in my fridge for the week and any time I need a protein fix , reach in and carve off a little meat. YUM! emoticon

Refill Right Away!

Never let the water glass sit empty. I find that If I have my water or unsweetened green tea glass sitting around me I naturally keep drinking. As soon as it's empty, even if you don't feel thirsty that moment, refill it. You'll get those 8 glasses in before you know it! emoticon

Walk and Talk!

Instead of sitting on my behind when I'm on a long phone call I use that opportunity to kill two birds with one stone: I walk outside doing laps around the yard or if I'm on my cell phone I walk around the block a few times. It's amazing how fast an hour of walking goes when you're talking!

a Dog!

Anytime I think I'd rather not go for my daily walk/jog I shout, "Sparky do you want to go for a walk!" and he goes nuts. After that there's no turning back, I have to walk him because I can't bear to see him whine at me with those sad eyes!

Spice up your life!

Adding spice to your food (hot chili flakes, cinnamon, and chipotle powder for example) is a great way to keep up your metabolism and add flavor without adding fat or extra salt!

Eat often!

Eating 5 or 6 low calorie mini-meals around 200 cals each every 3 hours keeps me from feeling hungry and discourages overeating because I know another meal is just around the corner!

Eat more yogurt!

A non or low fat greek yogurt (plain without all that sugar!) is so good for your bones, and gives your muscles a whopping dose of protein, while staving off hunger. Don't be afraid of slightly higher calories in greek yogurt - it will keep you full for longer!
