"Go clean your room" doesn't always get the best results. Give your kids a list of exactly what you expect and let them check off the tasks as they are done. MUCH less nagging!!!
Remember to eat your vegetables and fruits of red, white and blue. I know it is the 4th July, but drink lots of water instead of soda and alcohol. You will be happy later that you did. Have lots of fun in the sun playing games with your family and friends.
Every time you mess up or fall down on your journey, keep getting up. Just keep getting up, and keep moving forward. You never know how your will to succeed motivates others watching. Keep getting up.
If you want to shake up your walks, after a mile or two, turn around and walk backwards. Make sure you're on level ground and no breaks in pavement or obstacles before you turn. I find that I use different muscles and breaks up the walk.
Cut corn from the cob without the mess. Place an ear in the center of a Bundt pan. As you slide the knife down, the corn will fall right into the pan.
Once you don't fit into your bigger clothes, get rid of them. That way you are reminded if the pounds start creeping back...you won't have 'fat' clothes to go to. Maybe someone else can use them in transition during their weight loss.
I keep frozen protein shakes in my freezer at home. At night, it's a frozen treat without the guilt!
I just got back from a cruise. They said average weight gain is 5-10 pounds. I walked the halls and took stairs when others took the elevators. I also ran the track one day, but the head winds from the fact the ship was moving made running difficult. Walking on shore excursions also helped.
don't eat after 7pm. It is harder to burn fat late night
