I have added a few fruits and lots of veggies to my snacks each day and it keeps me full without ruining my weight loss efforts!! Also, light popcorn is a great, filling snack, with only 15 calories per cup of popped popcorn. I will eat 4-5 cups in the afternoon, between lunch and dinner, and am full until dinner on only 60-75 calories! This is so much less than the other snacks I used to eat between meals!

No matter what life hands you, find the best in it. If we only think of negative we will not have a nice life. Make sure you smile, laugh and cry because that is what it is about. As long as you can open your eyes each morning and meet the sunshine or rain your alive. Make each day the best you can so when you lay your head down you can smile. Love life.
After numerous attempts to get back on track, I found that what works for me is staying in touch w/ the message boards and reading all of these secrets for a few minutes several times a day to help me stay focused on the goal.
I'm trying to eat extremely healthily so I can lose weight. But I've found that during my weekly shopping trips to get my groceries, the bakery counter always has a dome filled with little sample cups of a featured product. So, I allow myself to sample the 2 bites of cake/pie/cookie and then move along. It gives me a once-per-week 'treat' that I wouldn't normally eat, and it doesn't wreck my otherwise-healthy diet.
This works for Japanese beetles too. Go out a couple of days with a container of soapy water. Flick all the seen beetles into the water. This is the key kill the ones there directly by HAND. Then spray the plant with a solution of fresh crushed garlic and water which has sat overnight, repeat if you need to. It is working in my garden!
I love cereal, and I love big fat bowls of it (which can be multiple servings). To trick myself, I fill up a bowl with fruit-- bananas, berries, kiwis, pineapple, whatever I have-- and then pour a measured serving or half-serving over the fruit. Looks like a HUGE full bowl, but isn't! Top off with unsweetened almond milk at 35 calories to be EXTRA GOOD :) (or skip milk and use low-fat yogurt instead). Yum!
When I started using coupons, I was discouraged that I couldn't use a coupon for every item bought. Then I realized that some items were actually less w/o a coupon which led me to a secret of true savings.
paying attention to my goals, knowing that the scale just gives a number and does not define ME, watching my calories, working out every day! Thinking about why I am doing this! Just know that you are better than the set backs, that you can jump over the obstacles and that this is a slow and steady race! We have our entire lives to turn ourselves around and be the better, healthier, thinner versions of our old selves! This is it. You can do this!
