Pack a gym bag and put it in your car. Go to the gym on your way home. No excuses! If the gear is in your car you are more likely to get that workout in.
This may seem like a no brainer, but it saves me a ton of time. When I make my breakfast in the morning, I prepare two servings of oatmeal. I eat one and put the other in the fridge for the next morning. Saves me some time which I always seem to be short of as I am rushing to work in the morning
If I put it on my calendar, it gets done. I know I am always at the gym Mon, Wed, Thurs and Fri by 4:30. It is non-negotiable me time. Commit to your good health by scheduling exercise at least 4 times per week.
Make sure you eat a complete breakfast so that you are not tempted to eat more inbetween meals. I like to have a bowl of oatmeal, nuts and fruit- that does the trick for me.
If you know you can't resist it, don't buy it-even for other people. If you don't keep it in your home, you will not be tempted.
Pick music that keeps you hopping and make sure to add it to your MP3 player. Never go to the gym without it. Sometimes it is a great song that keeps you going.
Try not to get hung up on the end result- how much weight you want to lose, what size you want to be. Take this as a journey- one day at a time. Log all your food(even when you slip), get some kind of exercise 4-5 times per week and log on to Sparkpeople at least once a day.
