I've become obsessed with soup and make it all the time. Its a fantastic way to keep the veggie intake high and sodium low. I like creamy soups, but the trouble is cream ruins the healthy goodness. I found adding 1/4 cup of low fat cottage cheese at the end, when blending, adds a nice creamy taste!
So, I love a good chinese take away and part of a balanced diet, its ok! I go for Lo Mein- trouble is, they use a lot of oil and salt to cook most dishes.
Solution: Just ask! My take away were happy to use less salt and oil when I asked, I can taste/see the difference and it still tastes grea...
I spend an hour on a Sunday preparing as much food as I can for the following week. For example I wash grapes and put them in separate containers. I chop lots of onion so I just have to grab a handful when making an omlete. It saves so much time when cooking!
