I like to run outside but it seems like I'm running so much slower than on a treadmill. Nike + iPod keeps track of my pace, time, calories and distance traveled while playing my favorite music. Turns out I wasn't running any slower after all. The best part is, you can use it with any running shoe.
The numbers on my scale aren't moving very fast but I know changes are happening. I tried on a dress that I wore to a party about a month ago that fit me perfectly, but now it's loose around my waistline and thighs. I'm motivated to keep it up because progress is just that, not instant.
For Iphone users SparkPeople has a wonderful app. I tend to underestimate what I ate if I put it in after the fact so I like to log immediately. The iPhone App really helps me keep track and stay on track when I'm on the go. It even tracks fitness. Highly recommended to anyone with an iPhone
I am no longer able to work out in the mornings like I like to so as soon as I walk in the door in the afternoon, I change into my workout clothes and head right back out the door. Do not pass go and collect 200 dollars. Just get outside as fast as you can.
Instead of looking at the 100lbs you want to lose by the end of the year, make smaller goals to loose 1.5-2lbs a week. That way when you reach your goal early or on time you are more motivated to keep doing the right things.
