Don't Put It Off!

If possible, eat when you are hungry, don't put it off! Don't wait for the next proscribed "meal time" or think that not eating when you're hungry will help with weight loss! When you DO finally eat, you'll be even HUNGRIER and end up eating more than you would have otherwise.

DON'T SAY IT TO YOURSELF!

You'd never tell your best friend she was a failure, or insult her looks.

So don't say it to yourself!

After all, who's a better friend to yourself than YOU!

Start Small

When beginning an exercise program, make sure to start out small.
I used to set up big, ambitious goals for myself and quickly fail because it seemed to be TOO MUCH WORK!
This time, I've been able to stick to it for a long time because I started small, making sure to just do 10 minutes of strength training a day. Once that was easy and a normal part of my routine, I GRADUALLY stepped it up so as not to lose motivation.
