Aside from Sparkpeople, I'm making a big effort to tell friends and family what I'm doing and what my goals are. As I've just started running, a friend who is training for a marathon is cheering me on, and everytime I reach a new running goal I can't wait to run to my phone and text my new achievement. The encouraging replies really make me feel good.
I plan our meals for the week every wednesday (payday!) around what is on special at my supermarket. I write it on our planner so my husband knows what we're having. If we committ to it we are much less likely to grab take out instead.
