Work through the cravings

Ok, so I was craving pizza yesterday and the day before. I ALMOST gave in...but started doing something and the next thing I knew? I forgot about my craving for Pizza.

Fruits!

With each meal, I try to find a way to incorporate fruits into it. Ex, I will eat a whole grain waffle with a tea of peanut butter and a 1/4 of cup of blueberries.

Avoid Heat Stroke

Be careful when exercising during the middle of the day.
Know the symptoms and signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke and take precautions.
Aim to exercise early (first thing) before it gets hot
or wait until evening when the temperatures have cooled down.
Or plan an alternative activity indoors or in a pool.

Showing my Preschooler Healthy Habits!

Since I have been on SP, I have learned some healthy habits that I am passing on to my preschooler. I don't drink soda or have it in the house!{We only drink it @ birthday parties!}. I don't chew gum and we don't have that in the house! I drink water daily as does my hubby and so our preschooler does ,too! I am PROUD to start small with these healthy objectives accomplished daily! I also eat oatmeal with fruit almost every day to keep my cholestrol normal!

Chobani yogurt

I've found that the plain Chobani greek yogurt tastes so much like sour cream that I use it on my baked potatoes or in mashed potatoes and on nacho's and taco's instead of sour cream. That way I up my protein intake and probiotic's without all the fat from sour cream!

It's ok, you can step away from the TV!

I always find myself sucked into TV shows that are repeats or not something I'd normally watch. So when I realize I'm sucked in, I hit the record button for my DVR and step away. This way I know I can watch later if I get my stuff done, but most of the time I just end up deleting it later!

Vegetable servings in noodles?!

Ronzoni brand pasta came out with a kind called "Garden Delight". You get a full serving of veggies in 4 oz of it! Great way to sneak it in on the kids. emoticon

Save money, save water!

When the yard needs some water and the car needs a bath I combine the two by pulling the car onto the yard and give it a good water cleanse. I found you really don't need soap, just elbow grease, to clean the car and it really helps the yard. I feel soon water will be a very important commodity so why waste it at a car wash?
