Budget calories for dessert

I always save 100 or so calories of my daily budget for dessert. This prevents me from feeling deprived and satisfies my sweet tooth while keeping me well within my calorie range for the day. It also helps prevent binging since I know I can have that pudding or chocolate chip cookie.

Pizza

Instead of using a tomato-based sauce, try sautéing some garlic in olive oil then brushing that on top of the crust. You'll get in your healthy fats, for sure. It's excellent when making a Greek-style pizza with tomatoes, tons of spinach, olives and/or mushrooms, with a bit of skim milk mozza.

The Scale Lies

I only believe the scale when it goes down. There are so many factors that can give you a false gain: TOM, too much salt the day before, stress or just the time of the day. It is unlikely to gained 3#s in one day especially if I have been watching what I eat. So don't stress it just be observant.

Healthy Filling QUICK Breakfast

My breakfast of choice is a Weight Watchers Smart Ones Breakfast Quesadilla. It has egg whites, low-fat cheese, veggies, and turkey bacon in it. Just be prepared to adjust your cooking time to your microwave. I cook mine at 1:38 instead of the 2:00 minute suggested time. They are so filling/good

Stick With It

Don't focus on what the scale reports. Focus on the fact that you are healthier today than when your journey started. For me 143 was better than 168. Three months of 143 was better than one day at 168. Eventually the plateau will break, as long as you keep making healthy choices.
