PLAN AHEAD

Using the nutrition and fitness tracker (or just a good old fashioned pen and paper!) take a little time to plan what you will eat the following day.

I find I can be forgetful when filling it in at the end of the day and found that doing it this way helps me to take into account what foods are in the house and come up with a healthy plan which I then STICK TO.

Quite a break-through!

Good luck.

Watch TV!

If you have no weights take a can of beans (or anything you may have) in each hand and lift them while you watch your favourite show.

This not only burns calories but will noticeably start to change the shape of your body even if you only manage 5 or 10 minutes per day.

Or put your trainers on and jog on the spot when the ads come on - short bursts like this will add up and make a real difference to your efforts.

Excellent for people like me who usually view excercise as a bit of a chore!

BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF!

If you have a bad day make sure you still track everything you eat. Either on the nutrition tracker or just in a notebook.

Seeing all those calories in black and white can mean that having a bad day might end up driving you to have an excellent week. emoticon

Every bite counts!

I thought there was something wrong with me as I was quite active and ate healthily - no sweets, pop or fast food: WHY WAS I SO BIG?

I wrote a food diary each day - it looked ok to me. WRONG! What a shock when I began putting EVERYTHING I ate into the SP Food Tracker. That slice of cheese, that handful of nuts... And even worse - that pint of cider / glass of wine! It all added up.
