Use iceberg lettuce cups

Hi all :) So thanks to a great recipe book in got I have found some great alternatives to unhealthy meals. Tacos: the shells are not good at all for you so put everything you have in a taco in an iceberg lettuce cup! tastes the exact same but use greek yogurt instead of sour cream. And also use this lettuce cup idea for burgers in exchange for the bun which can be full of suger ect. YUM!

Try this next time you are making pizzas :)

okay so we all love pizza and especially home made ones but sometimes we want a light pizza without the heavy base. I suggest an alternative, a zucchini crusted pizza base. Here is the recipe: 2 cups grated zucchini
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup flour
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 pinch basil or 1 pinch marjoram or 1 pinch rosemary (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil
YUM! great way to cut down carbs

enjoy winter veges with a twist :)

Okay so it's really important to get all different types of vegetables into your diet but sometimes at night the last thing we feel like is sitting there with a plate full of veges that don't taste great and are a bit dull. My suggestion, find all your fav veges and cook them all with a bit of olive oil. add some garlic and onion too. Take them out put them in a big bowl, a little more olive oil, sprinkle some mint & corriander then sprinkle fetta through them. It tastes delicious!

Breakfast!

I know we have heard it a thousand times before but I literally now think of breakfast in a different way. It is my biggest and favourite meal of the day, it's my new dinner! I wake up & eat a massive breakfast (but healthy) & im so full i have a light salad for lunch some fruit and a really light dinner. I just think of meals like dinner as something to get me through till breakfast! I mean seriously I don't get dinner, why would you eat more before your about to do less? I love breaky ;)

Cauliflower rice

Okay so please don't be skeptical about this one. If you are looking to cut back on some carbs at dinner but want something to soak up the juices and flavours of your meal then I suggest cauliflower rice. You simply brake half a head of cauliflower. Break into florets and place into a microwave dish with a lid. Donít add water. Turn on high for (approx) 4 minutes. Whizz the cauliflower with a Bamix or food processor until it resembles cous cous. Serves 2 as a side. Yum with tandoor chicken!
