I have a hard time getting my son to eat his vegetables. So (and I'm stealing this idea from Bearno's spaghetti sauce) I microplane some carrots into spaghetti sauce. He can't tell it's there (what kid doesn't love pasta?) and gets an extra serving of veggies!
On days that I don't feel like I look good at all I get really dressed up. I'll take special care to do my hair and make up, wear a nice outfit and heels to work. This always makes me feel better plus people usually comment which boosts my self esteem a little too.
I work at a desk job and find myself mindlessly snacking all day. I pack a healthy lunch and healthy snacks, but am still tempted-the vending machine. I started keeping sunflower seeds (in the shell) at my desk. I get the salty snack, but don't consume too many calories since I have to crack them.
