If I register and pay for a race, I have chose a goal, and have something to train for.
When I don't feel like doing my scheduled run, I simply tell myself, "Okay, then I will just walk instead." What usually happens is; I feel so good to be out there, and my music is awesome, so I end up running!
I have been blessed enough to have every Tuesday evening with myself! I run after work, take a jacuzzi bath, and watch television, or read, or walk, or do laundry, it really doesn't matter, because I get to do whatever I want!
Every time I think of it during the day, I hold my stomach in for a count of 10 (or 20) and then release slowly. You would be surprised how quickly this tightens your stomach muscles and make a flat tummy!
I have found a sparkfriend that competes with me on monthly mileage. It's all in good fun, and it keeps us both motivated to get our runs in. We have loads of fun, and we both exceed our goals!!
I run with my friends EVERY Tuesday and Thursday evening. With it being a commitment, other things have to be scheduled around this.
The way I get to run or exercise is, I bring my workout bag with me to work, then I run BEFORE going home. It only takes an hour or so, and when I get home I am free to cook, clean, or chill.
When everyone in the house is sick, it is best to run your dishes through the dishwasher. A sink of luke warm soapy water may not be enough to disinfect your dishes.
