When stumbles occur, and they will, don't let it stop you. Remember that each day is a new beginning. Pick yourself up and keep on Sparking. Never give up & never give in. YOU ARE WORTH IT. Forgive yourself & MOVE ON!
I find that when I get depressed, I feel tired & have the "I don't want to do its disorder". DO IT ANYWAY! Don't allow yourself to stay in bed & wallow in your own misery. Get up, get dressed, get to the Y or Gym or go for a walk. WHATEVER IT TAKES. DO IT ANYWAY! Depression will swallow you whole if you let it. Exercise & fresh air will help you get out of your doom & gloom! When your depression says DON'T.... DO IT ANYWAY!
Remember that staying positive can be the best help for you on this journey to better health. Playing "the glad game" is one way that I stay positive. When I find myself getting down or depressed, I remind myself of all the things that I am GLAD about. I count my blessings & write out a gratitude list. When I am positive & upbeat I am more inclined to exercise and eat right instead of getting into the emotional eating.
Mix it up. Eat high on your caloric range one day, low on the range another day. Vary your exercise routine. Get in at LEAST 30 minutes of cardio daily. Be sure to do strength exercises at LEAST 3 times per week & mix them up too. Don't let your body get accustomed to what you do. You have to confuse it to keep you metabolism moving. Mix it up & SPARK ON!
It isn't necessarily the amount of exercise that you do, but it is definitely the quality of exercise that will make the biggest difference for you. I exercise a LOT & daily... it was only when I began to change up my exercise routine on a regular basis that I started seeing good results again & got OFF my dreaded plateau! Change your exercise routine OFTEN! Keep that body confused to help speed metabolism.
Get up and MOVE! If you're MOVING you're GROOVING! Watching tv? Get up and move around during the commercials. Sitting around? March in place, do some chair exercises, get up and walk to another room. Poor circulation causes a multitude of troubles. Don't just sit there... MOVE!
When you are in one of those "I DON'T WANT TO" moods that sometimes hit us all... DO IT anyway! No matter what, don't let depression, time restraints, family, laziness, the blahs, OR ANYTHING keep you from exercising. You will ALWAYS feel better once you DO IT!
Don't get stuck in a rut. Keep on researching & finding new & unique exercises to add to your routines or to change them up. There are many different versions of similar exercises & changing up will keep your body guessing & the inches melting away!
Complacency should not enter into our spark lifestyle. We need to remember where we came from & how hard it has been to get where we are, otherwise, we'll fall back into bad habits & end up right back at the beginning. Never forget where you've been!
Never miss a chance to exercise. Get up and walk around the house during tv commercials. Do calf raises while waiting in store lines. March in place cooking dinner. Do chair exercises while watching tv. KEEP MOVING to KEEP LOSING!
