Use a stability ball instead of a chair

I replaced my office chair at home with a stability ball which forces me to sit "actively" and I also find that if music is playing I will bounce along with it so it may not burn many calories but it's better than sitting static in a chair.

Play with your kids

I've found that if I start playing an active game on the Wii (we have a couple of dance games and balance board games) that if my kids are around they want to "play" too. It is a win-win in my books as we have fun together and they are moving. Try frisbee or tag if the weather is good and have fun
