When I fry bacon, I fry the whole pound, drain between paper towels. Any that is not eaten at that meal, is put between fresh paper towels, inserted in a plastic bag and frozen. Handy to grab a slice or two and microwave and cuts down on the fat!
In the winter, bag ice cubes from your ice maker in plastic grocery bags and freeze. Saves in two ways-your freezer is more efficient when full and is great to take camping or on picnics when summer comes.
