I try to implement the 15 min. rule. If I don't feel like exercising, I tell myself I can exercise for 15 minutes, and if I still do not want to exercise, I have my permission to stop (but I still have gotten in a 15 min. workout). Usually I keep going after the 15. If I want a snack or a second helping, I tell myself I can have that in 15 minutes. Usually in 15 I have either moved on or the craving has stopped, my sugar level is stabilized, or whatever. 15 is a great little motivator!
Believe in yourself. It was hard for met to get motivated to stay on track. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks that I have to be my own motivation. If I do this for ME (not an event, special day or person), I will appreciate it more and stick with it. I'm working on me today so that I can be here tomorrow.
