Drink decaf instead of snacking

I have trouble with snacking in the evening after dinner. To prevent this when the urge hits to snack I drink a cup of decaf coffee or tea. This makes my snack urge go away.

Great chocolate

When craving some chocolate I have come to love York Peppermint Patties and 3 Musketeers Mint. They both have dark chocolate and the mint gives it the right touch!!

Let it Go!

So you've plateaud. So what! Just let it go and keep working hard. Eat right, exercise, and ignore the scale! Just because the numbers don't budge doesn't mean you aren't already a success for putting in the hard work!

Don't Ask, They'll Tell

When my husband was first diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, I would ask him his "numbers" every time he tested himself. I quickly realized that this was stressing him out in a situation that was already very stressful because my reaction often reinforced his anxiety. Now, I never ask. I let him tell me, and he does. As a result, we are both more relaxed about his health. (His A1C was 6.1 last time it was checked. He's doing great!)

Take a day off

Sometimes all you need to get more motivated is to take a day off.

Focus

Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity, but in doing it.

Variety is the Spice of Life

In the same ole rut? Try something new, freshen up, change the routine. If you walk, change your route, do your normal one backwards, mall walk, change your shoes. Change the music you listen to. Do your exercises in a different room. Same meals? Try a new recipe every week for each meal. Do you have any ideas to spice of your life?
