I resist temptation to snack by working an online jigsaw puzzle or playing a game of cards. Whenever the game is timed or I am playing against the computer, I cannot leave or take time out to eat.
First of all, it tastes great -- none of that yucky artificial sweetener or high fructose corn syrup, which makes yogurt sticky-sweet. Natural light sweetness (if it's not plain), and creamy, but no fat! Second, higher in protein than regular yogurt, which helps me to achieve daily protein goal. And best of all, it keeps me full all morning. I think it's because it's higher in protein. A cup of this and a piece of fruit for breakfast will keep me going until lunch! Yeah!! I LOVE this yogurt.
On the weekends when I'm feeling lazy, I set my phone timer for an hour to clean the apartment. I must clean the entire time and can't take any breaks (even to respond to text messages). Usually 1 hr is too much time to do the basics, so I end up doing some extra helpful organizing!
Quitting smoking isn't easy, but it is easy to see your savings grow. My boyfriend and I recently quit smoking, so every day, I transfer $14 (the cost of 2 packs of cigarettes) to savings. I'm hoping to use this money as a down payment on a house...a way better investment than cigarettes!
Instead of struggling with each temptation, I ask myself "Can I resist this?" 90% of the time, the answer is "Yes." This somehow distances the treat, allows me to make a rational choice and move on. If the answer is no, I try to learn from it. I've been doing this for 2 wks and can see results.
Oil of Oregano,3-4 drops, once or twice/day, keeps cold, flu, etc away; also kills the 'bugs' if they do get start to take hold (if you forget to take it). Put the drops in a bit of water, gargle & swallow. OR squeeze drops directly under tongue, hold them there a moment or 2, then swallow. Take acidopholus too - oregano is natural antibiotic Take drops before flying for protection from airborne germs in the plane, etc. Since doing this, I no longer get colds, flus or other nasty things.
Put everything you eat into the SP nutrition tracker as accurately as possible. You can lie to yourself or others about what you eat, but your body knows about every calorie that you eat. If you don't track your food accurately, you won't make the correct food choices that will allow you to be successful in reaching your goals!
I pick one small change and make it. This week I just want to eat some fresh fruit and veggies with each meal.
