Cool, sweet, summer treat

The hot weather always tempts me to eat ice cream or sorbet...to help me resist, I keep bags of frozen berries in in the freezer and eat those whenever I get a craving. It helps me stay within my calorie range and sneaks extra fruit in. emoticon

RESTART BUTTON

I have an imaginary restart button in my head that I push for a fresh start after any slip ups or mistakes I make. It's refreshing and has been so very helpful in breaking the negative cycle of feeling guilty and then out of guilt, making even more poor choices. Stop beating yourself up! We all make mistakes! Push your restart button & move forward to a healthier you!

Just go to bed

When I get a craving at 10pm, I take that as a sign that I'm just tired and need to go to bed. I know for a fact that I need sleep a whole lot more than I need the calories.

Melt your stress with music and exercise!

I play music that I download from Itunes on my Ipod when I am exercising. I noticed that I will exercise longer if I listen to some upbeat songs. My stress melts away from the movement and the music. I guess that old saying is true, " music calms the savage beast." I KNOW IT CALMS ME.

Daily to-do folder

I have a daily folder for ongoing projects and things I do every day, a weekly folder for things I do once a week, each item marked for their day of the week, and also a monthly folder. Every morning I review all folders and pick the "must do today" items, then the "might do". Then I do 'em!

Skull Candy Asym In-Ear Headphones

These headphones are AMAZING. If you're like me, regular earbuds refuse to stay in your head. Any time you move, they fall out. Not a problem with these. The cord is designed to loop over the back of your ears, so the earbuds themselves nest perfectly inside the ear. They weren't going ANYWHERE.
