It might be more fun to gain Sparkpoints, however I have decided that for me it is more important to gain Fitness Minutes. My new goal is to have more Fitness Minutes at the end of each month than I have Sparkpoints.

Reward your failure......ye I have been one who falls hard. Blowing a meal turns into a whole day, then a week, an then even months. I have decided that if it happens again, I am going to reward myself with 'prize' as soon as I get back in the saddle. This will make me get back on track immediately instead of falling off the wagon for months.

I've been here a year, and fallen off the wagon each time. When I fall, I slip big....and go back almost to where I started. This time is different!! My husband is committed to eating healthy and exercising each day for at least 10 minutes. It is such a joy to be able to encourage someone and have someone keep me accountable. Find a buddy for yourself to share the journey!

No Spark + No Email until Exercise is Done That's it...From today forward, I will not sit at the computer to check email or catch up on Sparkpeople until my exercise is behind me. How many times have you gotten carried away at the computer only to find there is not time for exercise before work? Not anymore for me!!!

I believe that if you set your Sparkpage to private that you are limiting the benefit that you will receive from other members. If we get a chance to know you, we can offer you a pat on the back or a boost when it's needed or deserved. Friends..who may be perfect strangers..are the core of SP.

If you work out at a track and lose track of your lap count, try wearing shorts or sweats with two pockets. Put a hand full of beans, dimes or pennies in your left pocket. Each time you complete a lap, take a marker out of one pocket and transfer it to the other.....4 beans, 4 laps, 1 mile, etc.

I have to remember, that whatever the scale says...I own it. Whatever foods get recorded...I own it. The exercise done for the day...I own it. If good things take place, there is a reason for that...I own it. The same is true in reverse. Bad results? They are mine. I own them, too.

You do not have to buy one of the gourmet cereals to bring home a healthy cereal...Post Shredded Wheat & Grape Nuts are your answer. Shredded Wheat has one ingredient..wheat. Period. Grape Nuts has Wheat, Barley flour, salt, yeast, soy lecithin. Add some fruit and have a great start to your day
