When I find myself strongly craving a soda, I know it's an indication that I haven't been drinking enough water. So, water first, then maybe a Diet Coke.
It took some getting used to, but I now prefer it. And my body can tell me if I need more or not.
Even though they cost money I think the Walk/Runs in my community are both a celebration and a reward for all of my weekly walks.
Oftentimes a recipe, like a burrito, will call for a dollop of sour cream. I just substitute non-fat cottage cheese.
Go ahead and take a vacation when you can. It just requires a little extra planning to take your new lifestyle along with you.

Simply pour any canned vegetable into a colander and rinse off the salt with fresh, cool water. It's a lot less costly than buying low-salt veggies.
Sign up for a community walk & run in your area. To find one ask at the local sporting goods stores and jogging shops. They are fun, very doable and give SUCH a sense of accomplishment.
