Exploring SparkPeople.com through SparkPoints When I started last week on SparkPeople.com, the site had SO much information it seemed overwhelming. But using the SparksPoints page helped me explore the wealth of resources here, and have fun gaining points in the process!

Save the rest of tomato paste in the can by wrapping approx one tbsp amts individually with Saran wrap then into a Ziploc bag and then into the freezer. When you need tomato paste, take one out and throw it unwrapped into the pot frozen and it melts almost immediately. Quick, easy and frugal!

I really love my Garmin Forerunner 305. While I don't feel they are necessary for a good running workout, it's very nice to be able to track my speed and my distance. I find it very motivating! It also has a marker function that tells me what direction to run in to get home if I get lost!

I used this sock today for the first time, and it was an INCREDIBLE difference from when I wear normal socks. My feet didn't feel fatigued or tingly in anyway after I finished my C25K session, and it provided GREAT cushioning for my blister. I HIGHLY recommend this sock.

The shirts I've ordered from Spark Store are really worth their cost. They wick moisture away and wash well, haven't lost their color at all!

Research Fitness DVDs Before Buying I highly recommend reading the customer reviews on Amazon and Collage Video before purchasing fitness dvds. Collage Video is really helpful because they have video clips so that you can preview the instructor's style, voice, etc.

When I'm not seeing the results I want on the scale, I depend on the points I get to make me feel like I've accomplished something! Maybe I didn't lose a pound, but by trying to get as many points as possible I know I'm doing something right. Plus, trophies!

Combine Cardio and Strength in one session I combine the cardio with strength throughout the workout. I wear a weighted vest while doing my LS DVD's In addition, I use dumb bells for a portion of the workout & also have a booster system, which allows me to use resistance tubing for upper and lower body resistance.
