I love vegetables but my husband does not. So to take care of him and satisfy my need, I chop them up very small and add as many of them as I can whenever I can. He can't pick them out but they are a part of our menu. He often does not know they are there and therefore does not complain.
It has helped me tremendously to login to Spark People and stay in touch with what is going on with the teams I have joined. I am one who needs daily support and connection. It is keeping me conscious of what I am doing on a daily basis rather than going to a meeting once a week and forgetting about it the rest of the time.
A lot of times I reach for food when I am not really hungry. I try to go by the 15 minute rule. I will get a drink of water and do something else for 15 minutes. If I still want to eat after that 15 minutes I go ahead and have something. Many times that distraction is all I need to get through.
