Portion control is easier and more accurate with a digital kitchen scale and using a scale for recipes keeps them consistently perfect!
Ginger & Garlic Paste
I purée equal amounts of fresh garlic and ginger. In a storage container this will last forever in your fridge, easy to add these healthy ingredients to salad dressings, stir fry or other dishes!
Mark Bittermans Watermelon & Tomato Salad
July 3rd NYT online has a video of a great tasting Turkish breakfast: Watermelon, Tomatoes, he used Blue cheese but I would use feta! A simple dressing and spice... A HAPPY HEALTHY SUMMER RECIPE!
I bought some blackboard paint and made one big blackboard to keep track of my goals, chores, diet etc. I put a few smaller ones in places like the kitchen and door for reminders like groceries.
This weekend I ate brunch (combining lunch and breakfast at 11:00 am) before I went grocery shopping. A larger, healthy meal full of fruits and veggies kept me in the correct frame of mind while shopping!
