For Cyclists...

Many cyclists use a product called Chamois Butter or Butt Balm or something like that...I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter. It's a little cheaper, comes in a larger jar & works really well. I found that other products didn't work as well for me. If you're having a hard time with saddle soreness, try different, UNSCENTED products until you find something that works.

Switch up your breakfast

I've started using other grains for breakfast like 'rolled' barley, rye, buckwheat & triticale. They look just like rolled oats but each has a different flavor & ALL are good for you. I throw in some dried cranberries & sprinkle with some hemp seeds or flax meal with my almond milk. Mmm mmm good!

Mock Gravy

No extra calories in this quick idea using ingredients already in your meal. When you've finished cooking potatoes with your roast beef, pork tenderloin, chicken or turkey, remove all of the vegetables from the drippings. Return some potatoes to the drippings & whizz them up with a hand blender. The consistency becomes just like gravy & doesn't add unnecessary flour/cornstarch etc calories. Just plain good food that you were already going to eat!

Easiest way to avoid junk food/snacking at home

Don't buy the stuff you don't want to be eating. If you have children who ask for their favorite candy/snack/treat, think about how you're trying to become more healthy. Then ask yourself, Don't I want that for my whole family? If you wouldn't eat it, why would you feed it to any of the other members in your family. If it's not in the house, there can be no temptation. emoticon emoticon emoticon Just like you've made adjustments, your family will learn to adjust too.
